MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A teen died after being involved in a car accident.
The accident happened Saturday night around 8:45 p.m. on Ayers Road near Troon Way. Bibb deputies say 16-year-old Angelica Maio was traveling west on Ayers Road and collided with an SUV that was traveling east on Ayers Road. Maio was taken to Piedmont Macon hospital where she later died.
The driver of the SUV was taken to Atrium Health Navicent and is listed in stable condition.
