Man dies after being shot at Macon gas station

MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A man died after he was shot at a gas station in Macon Tuesday evening.

The shooting happened around 6:58 p.m., at the Shell Gas Station located at 100 South Heron Street near Eisenhower Parkway. Bibb deputies say 36-year-old Jacovian Jatarious Tratencio Maxwell, of Macon, was fatally wounded by gun fire near the gas pumps. He was taken to Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance for treatment but died from his injuries.
