MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – One person is dead and another person is in jail after Bibb County Sheriff deputies served a warrant at a home Wednesday afternoon.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators attempted to serve a warrant at a residence on Thomas Drive near its intersection with Ollie Drive around 2:47pm. Investigators say the individuals who had warrants out for their arrests, locked themselves inside the house. After deputies entered the home, they found 46-year-old Sotero Colon, unresponsive, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Investigators also served a warrant for 42-year-old Stephanie Nicole Ayala. She was taken into custody and taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigations Office to be interviewed. She was then transported to the Bibb County Jail where she is being held for the following charges: (1) count of Rape Party to a Crime, and (1) count of False Imprisonment. Ayala is being held without bond at this time.
No other injuries were reported.
