Public’s help needed to find missing man

MACON,Georgia (KBTV)- The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in helping locate a missing person.

Investigators reported that 47-year-old Walter Wilson Akers, has not been in contact with his family, who lives out of state. Akers is reported to be homeless and is known in the downtown Macon area. He is not believed to be in any danger. The family stated that he has some medical and mental health issues.

Akers is a white male, he is around 6 feet and 2 inches in height. He weighs around 170 to 175 pounds. Akers has blonde hair and blue eyes. Akers is also an amputee and is missing his left leg.
