MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A Macon man died after he was shot Tuesday night.
UPDATE: Just after 2:30A.M on Wednesday morning, The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by a family wanting to report a missing person. Deputies met with the family, and during the course of the investigation, additional evidence was obtained. Deputies were able to confirm the identity of the male. This incident has been determined a suicide.
Bibb deputies were responding to a call of a person down in the roadway in the 2000 block of Merriwood Drive just after 8:30p.m. When they arrived on scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound lying in the roadway. He was pronounced dead on the scene by the coroner’s office. His identity has not been released until family members are notified.
