MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help finding a man who has been missing for weeks.

81-year-old Frederick Ellison Barber was last seen leaving his residence in the 1900 block of Mallard Avenue, at around 4:00p.m., on December 29, 2022. According to a close friend, he was under the influence of alcohol when he left home. Barber is described as a black male. He has gray hair and brown eyes. Barber is 6 feet tall and weighs between 158 to 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black colored hoodie with a blue silk t-shirt, blue jeans, and beige colored slippers. Barber has been known to wear a bracelet with the words, “Happy Birthday.”
It was reported that Barber has some medical and mental health issues. It is not believed that Mr. Barber is in danger. Barber is known to frequent the Patterson Street and Hillcrest Avenue areas.
