Bicyclist hit and killed on Eisenhower Parkway

MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office reports that a bicyclist who was hit by a car has died.

The incident happened Sunday just before 7:30 p.m. on Eisenhower Parkway between Log Cabin Drive and Bloomfield Road. According to reports, 49-year-old Alexis Martiz Davidson, was riding a bicycle westbound in the eastbound lanes of Eisenhower Parkway when he was struck by a Lexus RX, driven by a 44 year old female from Macon. The driver was traveling eastbound in the left lane. Davidson was taken to Atrium Health where he later died. The driver of the Lexus was treated on the scene.

The traffic collision is still under investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Bibb Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
