MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a pedestrian fatality that happened Tuesday night in Macon.
The incident happened just after 8:00 p.m. on Pio Nono Avenue near Dewy Street. According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, a 57-year-old woman was walking in the southbound lanes of Pio Nono Avenue when she was hit by a Toyota 4Runner that was traveling southbound in the right lane. The woman was taken to Atrium Health Navicent where she was pronounced dead. No one else was injured during the incident. The driver of the Toyota was a 73-year-old female of Macon.
The name of the deceased will be released when family has been notified.
