MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the man who robbed Truist bank in Macon Thursday afternoon.
UPDATE: 28- year-old Gabriel Michael Bell has been identified as the suspect and is being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center without a bond. Bell is being charged with Armed Robbery, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon.
The robbery happened shortly after 3:00pm at the Truist bank, located at 2998 Riverside Dr. According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the masked robber entered the bank with a gun, and slid the banker teller a note demanding money. Once he received an undisclosed amount of cash, he ran away on foot towards the wood line that is located behind the bank.
The suspect was last seen wearing all black clothing and a white face mask (see photos below) . He’s described as a black male, 5’7, and around 20 to 30 years of age.
