Bibb County Sheriff’s Office hosts FREE teen defensive driving course

MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Outreach Section is hosting a free teen defensive driving course to help teens drive safe on the roads.

The course is being offered while Bibb County Schools students are out on spring break Monday, March 20-22, 2023 from 9am to 2pm. The classes are held at 774 Hazel Street. Students ages 15-20 may attend. Students who are 15 years old are required to have a valid learner’s license. Students ages 16-20 must have a valid driver’s license.

KBTV’s Dr. Karlisha Booze talked with Major Tonnie Williams about the class and how it is beneficial. Major Williams says after the course, students will get a certificate in which they can present to their auto insurance companies and receive a discount.
