MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A Macon man is behind bars facing charges in connection to an auto theft investigation.
35 year old Eric Ivan Searcy-Bryson was found sleeping inside of one of three vehicles that had been reported stolen. On March 14th, 2023, at 7:37a.m., deputies responded to Cherokee Brick Company located at 3250 Waterville Road to investigate two vehicles reported stolen. During the investigation, the vehicles reported stolen were discovered nearby, in a heavy wooded area, stuck in mud. A third vehicle reported stolen on Monday was also found, in which Bryson was inside.
Eric Ivan Searcy-Bryson is currently in custody at the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center, facing three counts of Felony Theft by Taking Auto and Probation Violation.
All vehicles have been returned to their owners.
