Macon man shoots wife, wife in critical condition

MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A Macon man is behind bars after he shot his wife Sunday evening.

The incident happened just before 5:00 PM in the 2700 block of Alandale Drive. According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, 70 year old Eddie Gene Williams and his 75 year old wife got into an argument at their home. Mr. Williams shot his wife one time.

When Bibb deputies arrived on the scene, they arrested Mr. Williams. His wife was taken to Atrium Health Navicent for treatment. She is listed in critical condition. Mr. Williams is charged with aggravated assault family violence. He is being held at the Bibb County LEC without bond.
