What’s Happening Weekend: Picnic in the Park Food Truck Festival, Raiders Test Fest, Community Clean-up

MACON, Georgia- Family gathered at Carolyn Crayton Park on Saturday for Picnic in the Park Food Truck Festival. People were introduced to local eateries and enjoyed relaxing on the lawn. Kids played in bounce houses. Macon-Bibb Parks and Recreation hosts the event every other month.

Zoned schools in east Macon hosted an event to get students prepared for the Georgia Milestones. The event allowed educators to speak with parents in person about resources available for students to study and also give test taking strategies. The event was held at Northeast High School.

Pastor Cook of Greater Allen Chapel AME Church hosted the monthly community cleanup in Pleasant Hill. About 25-30 kids showed up and each earned $20 for participation. The next cleanup is scheduled for May 20, 2023.
