MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (KBTV) – New Year’s Day brought extra joy to Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin as the hospital welcomed its first baby of 2026.
Baby Siari was born at 9:40 a.m. on January 1, 2026 weighing 5 pounds, 14.7 ounces and measuring 18.5 inches long. Proud parents Samone Smith and Marquivious Rogers say they are thrilled to begin the new year with their newest family member.
“We’re deeply honored by the trust families place in us during life’s most special moments,” said Laurie Meeks, RN, Mother/Baby nurse leader. “Welcoming the first baby of the year is always a fun and meaningful milestone for our team.”

Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin is nationally recognized for its maternity services, earning a “High Performing”designation from U.S. News & World Report as one of Advocate Health’s 25 Best Hospitals for Maternity Care. The hospital is also designated a Maternity Care Access Hospital, providing essential services in areas with limited maternity care options.
