MACON, Georgia (KBTV)- The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred late Sunday morning on Harrison Road near the intersection of Chambers Road.
According to authorities, the crash was reported to the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center at approximately 11:59 a.m. Deputies say a single vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a power pole.
The driver, identified as 53-year-old Cheryl McNeal of Macon, died as a result of her injuries. Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones confirmed that McNeal was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin has been notified.
The incident remains under investigation.
