MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A 32 year old woman died 2 weeks after being in an accident on I75 soutb.
The accident happened on January 20, 2022 on Interstate 75 (south bound), exit ramp, leading to Hartley Bridge Road. It was reported that a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Ashley Whittington, collided with another vehicle on the southbound exit ramp. During the collision, Whittington’s vehicle overturned. Whittington was taken to Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance for treatment, but was later transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
Whittington died while being treated for her injuries at Grady Hospital on February 3, 2022. The accident is under investigation.
