MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help providing information about a fatal hit and run.
The accident happened around 10:54pm Monday on Mercer University Drive at its intersection with Burton Avenue. After responding to the call and arriving on scene, Bibb deputies found a male 65-year- old Larry Simmons was reported to have been struck by an unknown vehicle. He was taken to the hospital but later died.
