MACON,GA(KBTV)-The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office located a suspect in connection to a bank robbery.
On Tuesday afternoon, Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators, along with members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations Safe Streets Gang Task Force, found and arrested a suspect in connection with the Midsouth Federal Credit Union Armed Robbery that took place on April 5, 2022.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators identified the suspect as 55-year-old Felix Bernard Cordes.Cordes was found on Tuesday afternoon, walking near the intersection of Sycamore Street and Forest Avenue. He was taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division to be interviewed about the Commercial Armed Robbery. After Cordes was interviewed, he was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
Felix Cordes is currently being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center , without bond, for the charges of Armed Robbery, (5) counts of Aggravated Assault, and he also has a separate charge of a Parole Violation.
