MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – Bibb deputies have made an arrest in the shooting death of a 65 year old man.
34-year-old Quartez Marquis Johnson is in custody and faces murder.
On Wednesday morning November 2, 2022, a call came in to the Bibb 911 center around 9:30am of an abandoned vehicle in the 200 block of Clisby Place. When deputies arrived on scene, they found 65-year-old Eddie Lee Davis in the back seat of a a silver Chevrolet Impala, with dark tinted windows, dead. He suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.
Bibb investigators received information that led up to Johnson’s arrest. Additional tips of his whereabouts helped authorities catch him. He was interviewed and later booked on a murder charge. He is currently at the Bibb County LEC being held without bond.
