HOUSTON COUNTY, Georgia (KBTV) – A longtime educator is now the principal at Langston Road Elementary School.
Kyon Cobb was named as the next principal of Langston Road Elementary School during the Houston County Board of Education meeting held on January 17, 2023. Cobb was a classroom teacher for 17 years. She is currently the Assistant Principal at Pearl Stephens Elementary School.
Cobb says, “It is truly an honor to serve as principal at Langston Road Elementary School. I would like to thank Dr. Scott and our Board of Education for entrusting me to lead this amazing school. To the staff, students, parents, and community, I look forward to fostering positive relationships and ensuring that all of our students continue learning at high levels.”
Cobb says she has a passion for watching students learn and grow while supporting the needs of teachers.
Cobb earned a bachelor’s degree from Valdosta State University and a master’s degree from Walden University. She also holds two specialist degrees in both Elementary Education and Educational Leadership.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband, Sean, and their two daughters named Mya and Marissa.
