MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest and charged a woman in connection to a Friday night murder in Macon.
27-year-old Jada Simone Johnson is charged with the shooting death of 39-year-old Waymond Danzy of Forsyth, Georgia. The shooting happened just after 11:30pm in the 2000 block of Merriwood Drive, Walnut Hill Apartments.
Deputies responded to Merriwood Drive in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival, they found Mr. Danzy inside of an apartment with a single gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased on scene by Deputy Coroner Luann Stone.
Johnson was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center where she is charged with Murder. The incident remains under investigation. Additional arrests are pending.
