MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection to a Tuesday afternoon murder.
21-year-old Alonzo Bernard Hicks was arrested Tuesday night at 1459 Eisenhower Parkway, Intown Suites Extended Stay. Hicks was arrested in connection to the death of 60-year-old Robert Wells.
Wells was shot and killed in a truck early Tuesday afternoon around 12:07pm. Deputies responded to a call of a person shot at Mrs. Winners located at at 2419 Pio Nono Ave. When deputies arrived on scene, they found Mr. Wells suffering from a gunshot wound in the driver seat. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Hicks is being charged with Murder and Aggravated Assault. He is currently at the Bibb LEC. This incident remains under investigation.
