MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A man is in the hospital in critical condition after he was hit in the head during an altercation and the man responsible, is being sought.
UPDATE: According to Coroner Leon Jones, Giddens was pronounced deceased Sunday evening. The next of kin has been notified.
The incident happened Saturday afternoon on Village Green Drive. Reports state that 56-year-old Jeffery Giddens and an unidentified male got into a verbal argument which later turned physical. The unknown male hit Giddens in the head with an unknown object and he fell to the ground. The unidentified male then ran away.
The Sheriff’s Office and E.M.S. were called to the scene. Giddens was taken to the hospital by ambulance and is currently listed in critical condition.
