MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A woman is in critical condition after a shooting and crash at a Circle K in Macon on Sunday afternoon.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened around 5:33 p.m. at the Circle K on Mercer University Drive. Deputies responded to a report of a person who had been shot. When they arrived, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. Investigators say the woman was involved in a verbal argument with an unknown man in the parking lot before the shooting happened. After she was shot, the woman ran from the suspect. Deputies say she was then hit by a vehicle traveling west on Mercer University Drive. Emergency crews took the woman to a hospital. Medical staff say she is currently listed in critical condition.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
