MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A pedestrian is dead following an early morning traffic collision on Gray Highway in Macon.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened just before 3:45 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Gray Highway and Boulevard.
Investigators say a 20-year-old man driving a gray Nissan was traveling along Gray Highway when he hit a 36-year-old man who was crossing the roadway. When deputies arrived, they found the pedestrian unresponsive. He was taken to a hospital by ambulance for treatment but died.
Deputies said the pedestrian was wearing dark clothing at the time of the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
